Welcome back! Thanks for reading. I’ve created a whole new look for this blog. It’s refocused, redesigned, and includes all the handy Web 2.0 tools to bookmark and share content on this site. The blog is now focused on Web 2.0, social media, and the related trends. With the popularity of Facebook and social media sites there seems to be a need to explain the trends in ways people can understand. I believe anyone in almost any profession can benefit from the new social media tools. Also, a lot of the Web blogs and articles are way too technical for regular people and very dry as well. I hope to spice up the writing on the topics using my journalism / English background.
This blog now features social bookmarking icons at the top right as well as under every post. You can share the posts to popular services like Facebook, Digg, Delicious, and others. It’s really easy to use. Just click the button (almost as easy as Staples’ Easy Button). You can also subscribe to the RSS news feed. The buttons are located in your browser toolbar, as well as the orange buttons on the site that say “subscribe.” I like using Googe’s Reader Web software to keep up to date on the blogs I subscribe to. It’s fast and centralized – I can access the news feeds from anywhere. It’s very fast and easy to read feeds on the iPhone. I plan to eventually add some video / audio to the site. I’ll build a resources section as well to help people get the tools they need to start their own blog or use social media tools to help their career.
I expect the title of the blog to change to something more descriptive than “K.Mo’s Blog.” Have any ideas? Please comment below.
